Steve Vanarsdall is an Environmental Integration Manager at the Walt Disney World® Resort. In this role, Steve leads strategic initiatives that support achieving Disney’s environmental goals, integrating environmental sustainability into theme park and resort operations. He is also a liaison for the Food & Beverage line of business, with expertise in solutions to minimize waste, reduce greenhouse gas emissions and use water responsibly in front-of-house and back-of-house operations.
Prior to his current role, he was a Project Manager with the Food & Beverage Development, Optimization and Standardization team at Walt Disney World® Resort. In this role, he was responsible for developing a Food & Beverage brand standards directory, implementing Food & Beverage environmental initiatives, and supporting new processes like the mobile order service in Food & Beverage operations.
Steve has 24 years of experience with The Walt Disney Company, with extensive experience in the Food & Beverage industry. He has held a variety of positions, including leading multiple restaurant teams as a Food & Beverage Proprietor at several Walt Disney World® Resort restaurant locations. He was also on the opening team for Be our Guest at Magic Kingdom® Theme Park and Kona Café at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort.
He is originally from Richmond, VA and is a graduate of Virginia Commonwealth University. He is married to Kelly, his wife of 14 years, and lives in Winter Garden, FL with their dog Porter and cat Berkley.
