Matthew B. Hoffman is President of Tellus Products, LLC and President and CEO of Sugar Cane Growers Cooperative of Florida, a shareholder of Tellus Products. Tellus recycles leftover sugarcane bagasse from the sugar milling process and converts it to fully compostable tableware products such as plates, bowls, and take-out containers. For the past 5 years, Hoffman and team have worked on taking Tellus from an idea to reality including all aspects from research and development, design, construction, and now commercial operations.
Hoffman earned a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Florida in Food and Resource Economics in 2007 and attended Clemson University from 2003 – 2005 studying Agricultural Economics. Hoffman serves on the board of ASR Group International, Inc. and has served on the boards at the Chamber of the Palm Beaches, Lake Okeechobee Regional Economic Alliance, and the Belle Glade Rotary Club.
