Lindsay has a Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from Oklahoma State University with a specialization in polymer rheology and morphology. Lindsay has been involved with the Packaging industry for over 26 years in both academia and industry. He started his career at Mobil Chemical manufacturing BOPP film. He worked at Mobil & ExxonMobil for 17 yrs where he held various positions in R&D, manufacturing, marketing, supply chain and product management in both the films and polyolefin resin businesses. Lindsay has been with Sonoco for just over 6 years, first as the R&D Director of the erstwhile ClearLam Packaging that Sonoco acquired in 2017 and for the past 3 years as Principal Sustainability Engineer for the Global Flexibles and Rigid Plastics Divisions.  Lindsay represents Sonoco on the APR (Association of Plastics Recyclers) Films Committee and is one of Sonoco’s designated representatives for FPA (Flexible Packaging Association), NAPCOR (National Association for PET Container Resources) and SPC (Sustainable Packaging Coalition). He is the primary technical liaison for Sonoco’s Sustainability initiatives in Consumer plastic packaging.
