Ann Marie Alexander is the Assistant Vice President for Strategic Corporate Partnerships in the Office of Corporate Partnerships and Strategic Initiatives at Clemson University. In this capacity, Alexander works with a portfolio of companies to develop and expand university-wide corporate engagement. She is a member of the inaugural class of the Clemson University President’s Leadership Institute, Leadership South Carolina class of 2018, the Clemson University Commission on Women, the Clemson University Council on Diversity and Inclusion, and the Staff Senate.

Prior to this position, Alexander re-established and led the Corporate and Foundation Relations team in the Development and Alumni Relations Division at Clemson University. Alexander joined Clemson in 2005 as the Senior Director of Development in the College and Engineering and Science. Within these roles in Development, she helped secure over $100M in private and corporate funding for the Watt Family Innovation Center, the Glenn Department of Civil Engineering and many of Clemson’s SmartState Endowed Chairs, including those in Advanced Fiber-Based Materials, Supply Chain and Logistics, Optoelectronics, and Smart Grid Technology. Before her tenure at Clemson, Alexander spent over twelve years working in New York, NY, primarily in global marketing and sales at Mitsui & Co. (USA), Inc., an international trading company.

Alexander holds degrees from Columbia University (MA), the Fordham Gabelli School of Business (MBA), Duke University (BA), and is currently a PhD candidate in Educational Leadership at Clemson University.
